I started to build my Tribute to Helen Kelly today and felt it was time to tell all of what a courageous lady she was, but stubborn also, however, this stood her in good stead whilst she was fighting her illness which then sadly took over and raised her to the angels in heaven above.

Helen was a true scots woman, black was black and white was white.  You could never shy over her and as she used to say "I'm older and wiser".  She was a martyr in every sense of the word and gave the best fight ever to the very end and this was her strength within as an individual who never gave up no matter what.

Her role as a mother was fulfilled in every sense of the world as it was very challenging for her to say the least and her priority was always her children.  She was a shining beacon that continued to shine even in the hard times, she always held her head up high and carried on as her strength allowed her to do so.

More importantly, her role as a wife was her focus as her first marriage was somewhat disturbed and when she married William Kelly, that all changed for the better.  She knew she had met a good man and looked after him, as he did her.  Never had I seen such a perfect match and I embraced calling William my Dad and he was my Dad regardless of the first marriage, as he brought stability to our lives and as they say "They all lived happily ever after". xx

This tribute can never be enough as she had so many hats on as a wife, Mum, Nana, Auntie, Friend.  All those who had the privilege of being part of her life were lucky and she loved each and every one of you in whatever capacity you knew her.

Lets not forget everything what Helen stood for and continue to keep that beacon shining back up to her in the skies above.

WE WILL ALL MISS YOU & NEVER FORGET YOU. X X X X X X X
