LAYING YOU TO REST

I have to say that this was the hardest day for me as this was my final farewell to you, my Mum.

We had your funeral back home but I did not grieve as I should have done knowing that your final resting place would be in Scotland with your Mum, Dad & Brother.

Yet again, you had the best service as you were the best human being brought upon this earth.  Dad did you proud in every sense of the word.

His words at your graveside were beautiful as was the flowers & tributes.

Seeing Dad put your ashes in that hole opened it all up for me and I finally was able to shed the tears, show my emotion as I should have done for you at your first funeral in Bradford.  I could not do that as I wanted everything to be perfect.  On this occasion, Dad did all the work and this allowed me to express how broken my heart was at losing you Mum & seeing you finally laid to rest.  My heart sank but at the same time felt a warmth knowing you got your last wish as Dad had promised you.

Everyday I think of you and I rub your photo on my computer and I remeniss about the times we had together as mother & daughter and I have to say that I truly miss those times.

Always in my heart forever Mum.

I love you endlessly.

Your darling daughter.
